The Peoples No Campaign

The People’s No Campaign was a national party alliance set up to deliver an overwhelming and emphatic ‘NO’ vote against many government funded organisations. It gives the public a chance to give the political class an ass whooping for over thirty years of lies, deceit and betrayal.

Introduction

The Campaign has now grown into an ‘umbrella campaign’ comprising a number of successful campaigns.
The fight is against all forms of unaccountable and unacceptable government behaviour.
We are a campaign free from political dogma and run by consensus and co-operation.

Initially the Metric Martyrs Campaign provided the structure of the way campaigns were to be fought. The aggressive, no nonsense style of campaigning proved highly successful and the campaign continues and has expanded into the bigger constitutional argument created by the Metric Martyrs’ Judgement. The tragic, untimely death of Steven Thoburn, the first Metric Martyr, strengthened the resolve of the campaign to achieve justice and have the male criminal convictions revoked. There have been no further prosecutions since the initial ones and politically it now must be avoided by all local authorities.

The North East No Campaign was set up to create resistance to the North East Regional Assembly, initially in its unelected form and then latterly to defeat John Prescott’s dream of having an elected North East Assembly. After achieving the biggest referendum upset in political history we are now actively campaigning to expose and engineer the demise of unelected regional assemblies around the country. Campaign tactics against the unelected North East Assembly are being replicated across the country by many other groups.

The No to the EU Constitution Campaign was simply the North East No Campaign stepping up to a national level. Working in association with many other groups and individuals, this campaign was preparing to take up the No position in any European Constitution referendum.
The French and Dutch ‘No’ votes have not killed the constitution and our team are actively monitoring the ‘behind the scenes’ implementation of facets of the constitution and monitoring the ratification process in various countries.

The No to Decriminalised Parking Fines Campaign has grown as a strand from the Metric Martyrs Judgement. It is not acceptable to be ‘fined’ by an administrative body, or a local authority without proper justice through a court of law. Constitutionally, the Bill of Rights Act 1689 does not allow anyone to be fined except by a court of law. The implications of this facet of the campaign are enormous and could cost the Government millions in revenue.

The No to abuse of process by Speed Camera Partnerships has been set up following the failure in many instances to follow the correct legal process resulting in motorists being wrongfully convicted. We aim to expose such abuse and ensure that speed cameras are not used simply as a money making tool.
